Road Safety Fashion Show 2014

  • Be Bright Be Seen Road Safety Campaign

    “Crazy Colourful People”

On Thursday 23rd October 2014, the pupils at Prince Edward took part in their third campaign to raise road safety awareness as the nights get darker.

The campaign was led by the pupils and for the pupils; and this year £116 was raised so the pupil Road Safety Officers in Y5 can purchase hi-vis neckerchiefs for our pupils to wear on school outings.

This year the event was a fashion show with a catwalk in the school hall. Children were asked to wear as much bright clothing and accessories as possible. Children wore bright tops, trousers, skirts, wigs, hats and face masks!

Special guests from the community were invited to come along and judge the event. Children from all year groups were awarded prizes donated to us from Mags at the Sheffield Road Safety Team.

Everyone had a great day and look forward to wearing the neckerchiefs on school trips!
